This is more than just a savory ham dumpling – you are experiencing a new retelling of a traditional Slovenian dish, zlikrofi, which we affectionately grew up calling jinkies (or jinks). Jynx are simple by design but flavorful in execution with a balanced ham and bread mixture packaged in a hand-rolled dough casing. Sliced in half and sautéed with butter are all it takes to manifest this wonderful meal that has delighted our family for generations.
